    Default heterochromia's in the house??

    Okay ladies I have a question. Does anyone elses kiddos have heterochromia in their eye? Jeremy has bright blue eyes but his left eye is partially brown (about a 1/3 of it) Just wondering because ALL of his doctors note it on their reports, even his neurologist. Last night I got a phone call from his dermological geneticist asking me if he was born with this. I felt like saying "nope we just kept poking his eye until it turned brown" lol. Well just wondering if anyone knew the clinical signifigance.

    oh i never noticed that before in of his pics, he svre does look gorgeovs thovgh, and i have to say, that nope, i have no idea what the clinical significance is, sorry Jennifer, bvt let vs know if ya find anything ovt abovt it, sovnds interesting thovgh.xx

    i dont know what that is really, but belle has bright blue eyes with a small brown spot. The eye doc said it was a freckle. huh?

    Yep that little brown spot is called a sectorial heterochromia its pretty rare 1 in 30,000 people have it. Its actually less rare to have complete heterochromia-two completely different colored eyes. It could be part of a syndrome (which ones I don't know) or a fluke. I'd love to see a pic of belles eyes. I think its pretty and certainly unique.

    omg, jen!! i guess you learn something new everyday!! I'm going to try to find a picture of belle's, but now i have to find a pic of mine because upon researching, i found out that i have central heterochromia! i never knew thats what it was! go to this link and it will show you a pic and thats what mine look like. how wierd!

    Mine are green w/yellow centers. I always thought I had hazel eyes (but according to wikipedia) I have green eyes.

    mine are green i guess? with brown centers.. i thought it was just hazel, but theres actually a name for it!

    Hey Jenny I too have central heterochromia! My doc said that although its fairly rare its different than sectorial heterochromia, its not a gentic marker so to speak. Just means we got beautiful peepers LOL
