Bible Verses/Inspirational Quotes for Surgery Day

I was just wondering if anyone memorized or has any significant bible verses or quotes that helped them through surgery day. It's comforting to have something to repeat in my mind during difficult times. I was looking through my bible today but I couldn't find anything that really spoke to me. Any suggestions?

Ooh. I love that picture. That was on Denise's (Seagrape) blog, wasn't it?

My sister made me a prayer book to carry to Florence's surgery that had several pages of prayers in it. Some were bible quotes, some were prayers she had written as if she were me. For example: "Lord, in my heart I plan my course, but You determine my steps. (Prov. 16:9) Life is not going as I planned by I am so grateful that You are not caught off guard. You know everything that befalls me and You direct my steps as You determine. Help me to be wise to follow in the way that You lead me. Because You are my Lord, I can trust that even this current phase of my life, my daughters surgery, is part of the steps You have planned for me."

The Lord knows each of us by name...every child that is born is given their own guardian Angel...plus an extra special bonus of having Jesus right beside them,
And even as we grow, and we think that they are gone, they point us in the right direction and assures us that they are always with us no matter what.

No matter how small or how big our heartaches, problems, sickness and yes our happiness are Jesus and His Angels are right there with us, carrying us, rubbing our feet when it hurts, comforting our children when at times we don't know how to...
So don't despair, he is even right now, this very moment, beside us, in front of us, behind us and all around us....we are constantly and forever wrapped in His LOVING arms, no matter what....HE LOVES us and HE CARES about us..
