1 step forward, 2 steps back

So the NS replied to my email friday night from overseas as I said in another thread, its a long weekend here, we fly to Melbourne, have a great 2 days and I call the NS office this morning to make an appt for Mckenna for whatever time she has before we fly back next tues, to be told, the NS has been admitted to hospital while overseas for pneumonia!!!!!!!!!! Her receptionist doesn't know when she'll be back and is in the process of cancelling all her appt for next Monday and she's in surgery all Tues. WTF!!!!! i feel horrible for her but can't anything go right, so now we'll have to go back home to Launceston and deal with things from there and then possibly come back again to see her. I'm so pissed off right now! Ok I know she's sick and don't judge me as a horrible person but when do we catch a break. So all I can do right now is head to the children's hospital on Monday for McKenna's scheduled opthamologist appt and pop into the NS office to see if she's back and where we go from here!!!

So if she can end up seeing us Wed (although she's already booked out) or thurs I will have to change our flights! We live only an hour flight from melbourne, but for those that don't know Tasmania is an island so we can't just get in the car and drive, the ferry is a 12 hour overnight crossing, and expensive. Its cheap to fly but still have to book.

Ok so that's where we stand right now! SUCKS!!!!

Well that just stinks! I was hoping one of us would get some answers. I hope she's back in her office on Monday and you catch her. Why does this have to be so difficult?????

thanks, I'm so frustrated and I feel that maybe Larkin and I should have a drink together and get our own NS!!!! Just have to wait until Monday and see what happens. But to top it off, McKenna has started some involutary shoulder shrugs on the left side, like muscle spasms, have no idea what's going on and I notice it while she's sitting and I'm feeding her! Just more things to add to my stress!!!! Anyone's child had something like this!!

Susan, I am just catching up on reading some threads while the kids are asleep - I had nooooo idea any of this happened! I completely understand your frustration, if only Alison (NS) wasn't so nice it would be easier to get mad!!!
