    Default 1 Week Post Op!

Wow! We have made it to the other side!

Ryan is doing so fantastic, I just can't believe how great he is doing! Dr. Fearon, Cindy, Dr. Sacco, Dr. Blakeley and all the Medical City Children's staff are just AMAZING!!!! I can't say enough awesome things about them. We were out of the hospital in under 48 hrs. Our trip from Ohio to Dallas, was so very worth it.

During our stay in the PICU Ryan began drinking pedialyte, then started drinking breastmilk, that was just hours after surgery. The morning after surgery, Ryan was playing in his crib and talking away. His right eye swelled pretty fast since he was leaning on his right side. His left eye swelled for just hours and wasn't nearly as terrible as it could have been.

We did send blood to Dallas, for a directed donation, but Ryan's hemoglobin, didn't get nearly low enough to need a blood transfusion! His incision looks great and is healing so good. His swelling is getting better every day! Ryan's pretty much back to his old self, little more clingy, but playing, crawling, eating like a champ and trying to walk!

    I've attached a few pictures
