We give my son Kenny the iron drops too -- nothing to do with cranio, just healthy bc he doesn't eat too much meat. It tastes awful, but now he loves it! Crazy kid. Just stick with the dropper and force him to do it, it sucks at first, but much better than trying to hide it in food. It has such a strong flavor, your baby will taste it in food or juice....
Good luck!
Kenny - diagnosed at 3 months, surgery at 5 1/2 months on May 27, 2010 for Metopic (trigonocephaly)
It's a little scary though. I'm afraid of giving him too much! But he doesn't eat much meat, so he's probably ok. :)

We did procrit so the numbers may be different. Dr Fearon sent out a info sheet and we ordered the IronUp. We crunched the numbers and thought, "that can't be right.". Took it to the pharmacist who got the same numbers we did. Gave in and called Cindy who got the same numbers too. It ended up being 200% the daily recommended value on the bottle.
We would just put it on top of her applesauce in the morning. She would get it down in 4-5 bites and be done with it. Now we're back down to a normal dose for 6 weeks post op.
Mommy of Chloe. CVR and FOA May 22nd 2012 at 11 months old with Dr Fearon for Right coronal cranio.
