What type of glasses????
Hi
My name is Nicola and my daughter Erin had FOA surgery in March of this year for unicoronal cranio. She now has to have glasses but we are having a difficult time getting a pair to fit her unique features. We based in Northern Ireland, has anyone any suggestions on frames for cranio babies? Thanks in advance Nicola

Hi Erin,
Charlotte also had FOA for left coronal and as her head is still misshaped it has been an nightmare finding glasses for her. I would recommend you go to a local independent optician as they are generally a bit more helpful and will take the time to help you find the right pair. Mine advised because of her features Charlotte needed glasses with nose pads and not the plastic frames and she shapes them especially to fit Charlotte's shape (they look very wonky when they are laid out on the table but fit her well when wearing).

Hi Emma
Thanks so much for your reply. BTW your 2 girls are lovely. I will go back to optician with your advice as she has been trying the plastic frames so far, hopefully this will resolve the issue somewhat.

Aw, thanks very much Nicola (sorry, been a long day and just realised I typed Erin by mistake!). Hope you find something, there are some lovely styles around for girls now.

My daughter is right coronal and has been in her glasses since three months old. She has always worn wire frames. The nose pads are ajustable and can be tightened to fit her nose and keep them from sliding down. Also the optician we go to is amazing at personalizing her glasses. My daughters ears are very offset. The arms on the right side of her glasses is much longer than the left. She also has wraps that go around her ears. We have never had a fit problem. The most important thing is to find someone who specializes in fitting children and ask what kind of modifications they can make. Good luck!
