So sorry you got that news--but it is great you found the silver lining and have that positive outlook! Just started helmet therapy here. Had our first 23 hour day yesterday and I am a wreck about all of it! Hope your 3 months goes by quickly!

Jesse's Cranio Journey
He's so handsome and Doesn't look like a baby anymore...definitely a little boy. They just change so fast!
Anyway, I think his head looks great in the pics. If you didn't know anything about the cranio you wouldn't even notice anything "different" about his head.

I'm sorry you were disappointed, but I'm glad you are starting to see some improvement. I think he looked great in his 1 year photos.

Sagittal surgery - 02/26/2009
Second surgery suggested to correct a bump on the head and fill in soft spots.
Soooooo we just had our 13 month post op appointment and I was totally expecting to walk out this time helmet free..... And to my surprise the NS wants to maximize his correction time and keep him in his helmet for another three months which will be a total of 16 months when we FINALLY finish. Good news is his head progression is coming along beautifully. I attached a scan that compares his head one week post op to his head shape as of yesterday..... I found myself fighting back the tears when I could see how far he has come. Endo for metopics is a slow process but we are getting there one day at a time

That looks amazing!
01/27/2012: Diagnosed left rear fused lambdoid suture
02/09/2012: Endoscopic surgery
02/28/2012: Helmet therapy started
04/02/2012: Helmet therapy ended
Bummer about the additional helmet time, but the change in his head shape is amazing.
Does he try to take his helmet off? I had the hardest time toward the end of our rime getting Cooper to leave it on his head. I hope that part's easier for you!
Three months will fly by!!
