My daughter is going for a star-kids ortho eval on Thursday and I had a few questions:

What lead you to helmet/band therapy - direct referral from MD/NS/CFS, the ortho clinc itself, or your own desicion to make?

If you answered with the clinic itself - did they give you an official plagio diagnosis or did they need one from a physician?

Did insurance cover the helmet as long as you had a referral?

Did the ortho offer/suggest any other therapies such as physical for torticollis?

Was your ortho experience good overall? Star-kids?

My daughter has been ruled out for cranio itself - questionable mild metopic and unsure level of plagio - hence the eval with the scan and all. If helmet therapy is recommended I have no issues doing that - it's just she gets this ortho eval before the 2nd opinion. I am sure by the CT that nothing needs surgery unless ICP issues arise. Just looking for some pre appt info. Thanks!
