Default Is it possible trigo without metopic ridge?

    Hi everybody,
I am new here and mum of a 10 months old baby with a triangular shaped head. Our pediatrician said there's a problem about the shape of his head and directed to a neurosurgeon, we'll probably see him next week. I am investigating here but I couldn't see any example of our condition, a triangular shaped head without a ridge. Is it possible?
Sorry for my English because I only used it for academic investigation, not for speaking.

Hi and welcome to CK! I'm sorry you are having concerns. Yes, it is possible to have trigonocephaly without a ridge. My son had trig with no noticeable ridge and had surgery when he was 6 months old. You can go to my profile and look at my albums. I have a lot of before photos there. Please let us know how the appointment goes.

Yes, you can definitely have trigonocephaly with out a noticeable ridge. My daughter has mild trig and you can feel a bit of a ridge near her nose but you cant feel it higher up. You really cant see the tiny bit of ridge either. The metopic suture can close with out forming a ridge but early enough to affect head shape. Good luck at your appointment.

Hello! My son also had mild/moderate metopic cranio with trig but he didn't have a defined ridge. So yes, it is possible! I'm glad you'll be seeing a specialist. Do let us know how it goes.

    Thanks to everyone who responses.
I looked at the pics of your babies, all of them are so sweet.
I don't know exactly why, but my son seems different from all I saw. May be it is because he is not a fat baby. Although he hasn't a ridge, his forehead seems very norrow to me. At first I thougt he has a mild case but now I am not sure. I put some pics to my profile. What do you think about it?
