I think we may have some suture issues

Fiona still has a lot of crusty area's and she doesn't like me touching them. I really hope everything is OK because I can't stand anymore stress regarding cranio.
We have our 2 week follow up appt this Friday. I have been in contact and they told me that it shouldn't hurt her.
I remember with her first surgery there were some issues with the sutures, they took forever to go away.

Is the area red or irritated? As long as it looks like it's not infected, it should be ok.. Maybe Dr P will give some helpful advice on what to do about the crusties.

They told me wash her hair and use a washcloth on her sutures, but she says it hurts even when I touch them with a q-tip, they told me to apply a thin layer of vasoline to the crusty area's.

She's probably just sensative to the touch because you're touching the incision. I still get sensativity when I touch my scar from my csection. Have you tried calling them?

is it like wet and oozey crusty? I couldnt really tell in the pictures any crusty stuff, but the incision looks good.

i think I see what you mean now, the dark crusty stuff? Does it wash off and it still oozes or has that been there? It just looks like scabbing to me, and it's possible for the incision to drain a little, just as long as it's not yellow or puss looking.

Not wet, it's dry, very dry. All I keep thinking about is the first time around. I would hate if anything happen with her sutures. Not to mention that if they did get infected (knock on wood) there is NO WAY I would b able to get the meds into her.
