    Default Bulging above the ears?

Shortly after Kd was diagnosed we noticed that she has some bulging over her ears. It isnt very noticeable and hoping it will be less so as her hair is finally start to grow in. My question is if anyone else's child has had this and if it became worse with time?

Jude has bulging above his ears. I noticed it much moreWhen he was younger than I do now. I'm not sure if it has gone down as his head as grown or if I have just got used to it.

my son was metopic and had the bulging above his ears as well. It seems to be a common characteristic with metopic and is caused by the brain pushing the coronal sutures apart since the metopic suture is closed.

Shane has a bit of bulging right above his ears and also higher up on his head. The Dr. calls that biparietal bossing or widening.

Thank you, I guess I'm just worrying over nothing ;) Mindy since Shane didn't have surgery has that particular part stayed the same over time or has the biparietal widening gotten worse?

Yep, its pretty much stayed the same. I haven't seen any more widening. His head has retained that shape with the sides and back being wider than the front, but I wouldn't say its worse than when he was 2.

My son has bulging too, but i go to get cranio sacral therapy every month to help give his skull some room, it helps the bulging and seems to give him some relief, also a couple of times when the suture seemed to be more prominent at the front it helped it flatten out a little.
