Thank you all for your advice! Yes, I did have my glass of wine and luckily the babies sleep pretty good last night so I was able to sleep good. I'm gonna add a little bottle of dishsoap and bottle brush to my shopping list. My babies started out with the little nursettes when they were born, but now eat about 6-8oz each feeding. I won't be surprised, then, if they aren't as hungry as they usually are.

Carmen: yep, both of my babies' surgeries are on the same day, one after the other. Its gonna be a crazy busy day!

I didn't pay close enough attention to realize that BOTH of your boys were having surgery... It is going to be busy, but you'll have them both over with and healthy at the same time!!!

And don't worry about asking questions. When it was our turn, I always said that there wasn't anything I could do to make the surgery any better, I could only make the preparation for the surgery better. Keep making your plans, keep doing what you need to in order to feel as prepared as possible. If nothing else, it keeps you busy so you don't have as much time to think! :)

I brought a couple of bottles with us, but didn't ever use them. I just used throw away bottles and nipples that the hospital gave us. But Braydon went from eating 6-8 oz to only eating a couple of ounces at a time. By the end of the stay we were nursing again. The time we gave him formula we used the ready to drink jars and just put the nipple on the top.

I also used Dr. Brown's with Andrew.
I refused to use the hospital bottles knowing that they would flair up his reflux and gas pains. I took 3 bottles, a bottle brush and the little brush for the bottle parts and I just washed a couple of times a day as needed. There was a sink right across from his bed for me to use. Might be smart to bring a small bottle of dish soap that you can just leave behind when you go home. One less thing to pack up.
Don't worry about how many questions you need answered. You are not the first and won't be the last to want to know these answers. We were all there at some point and understand your state of mind right now.

I used our own bottles and washed them in the hospital. I brought a brush and some dish soap. Another mom told me to do this and it was the BEST advice. Gabe didn't take to the hospital bottles....so I'm so glad I brought his own.

I brought Clorox wipes and other cleaners. No one used the sink (in the room) that I washed the bottles in. But I wanted to be careful. I was lucky that they had really hot water too - so that helped.

I realize everyone has already given good advise - I brought my own bottles and washed them (I was pumping) and also used some hospital bottles and nipples when I was lazy. (We were in the same hospital as Braydon'sMommy)
But I really just wanted to comment on how amazingly BEAUTIFUL your boys are!!! They just make my heart melt! Prayers are with you!

I also brought my own bottles and hand washed them. They actually provided me with dishwashing detergent.

I had my husband wash our Dr. Brown bottles in the hospital. The hospital gave us some dish soap to use. I also pumped in the hospital. I brought my own pump from home which was useful so I didn't have to leave the room. It was helpful to have the bottles because Reid wasn't able to nurse effectively for a few days. I remember being so frantic before the surgery. You will get through this!

We just used the twist-and-feed bottles that the hospital had. As a twin mom, I'll take whatever free stuff they want to give! Hunter didn't eat much in the hospital. He did like the pedialite bottles that the hospital had too.

When are they having their surgery?

    You will get through this!

Sweet Adeline: Your baby is soo beautiful! Her eyes are hypnotizing. My husbands friends' eyes are like that and I always try not to stare (don't want to make him jealous! j/k) Those cheeks are soo chubby, I love chubby cheeks!

Thanks for the advice everyone. I'm definately not bringing my own formula, the hospital has theirs. But I might have to bring their own bottles. I tried another bottle type on them because I got tired of washing a million pieces (I used Dr Browns) and they just spit the formula out of the side of their mouth. I also found a travel size bottle of dishwashing soap the other day and snapped up two of them. But, I didn't get extra cleaners. That's a good idea and I'm gonna put that on my list also. Thanks everyone! They have a new surgery date! February 23rd! Yay!
