Do you have any pictures of Carter which would show his progression ? Iīm curious to know because it looks as though his Trig developed later or am I wrong. Oliviaīs now one and although I can see sheīs still mild, I can see a progression. How old is Carter now ?
Iīm pleased for you that you have a surgery date. Thereīs a light at the end of the tunnel. Hugs, Katy

Carter had a ridge early on. By six months the trig was visible. He is now 18 months old but getting to the surgery date took us a little longer. carter is developmentaly delayed. Dr S. wanted to have a dev. Pedi assesment preopp. We had to wait months for that appt. Then we had to wait months to see Dr S again. Se we have know that he has needed the surgery for 10 months (give or take a couple). But carteres head has gotten worse over that time. The Drs today did not have to look at him twice to know that it has gotten worse. the pics on my profile show some progression.

glad to hear that you are no longer in wait mode. You'll be on the otherside of surgery soon enough.

Thanks for the info. Thatīs a terribly long wait youīve had to endure. Thank goodness you have a date now. Whilst Iīm in the question mode and youīre a Metopic Mum, can you tell me whether itīs usual for babies with the metopic ridge to have one side of the forehead slightly bulged and one side a bit flatter or angling back ? Every time I look at Olivia, that seems to jump out at me.

I do not think that is nornal. Carters head is evenly "eggie" on both sides. The doctor did point out his eye brows today..said that they stick out..meaning that his pinching has caused his eye brows to pertruded.

Katy....I went and looked at your photos...carter looked a lot like your daughter at one point..but remeber that all kids are different. There is no crystal ball that will tell us if the trigon will progress.I wish there was! Her head may stablize. I specifically asked the Dr today...If I do not do the surgery what will his head look like later? He could not answer that.

Thanks Jennahlynne. Letīs cross fingers her head does stabilize. Thatīs interesting what you say about the eyebrows. Sometimes I think Olivia looks a bit like a Hawk. Itīs a rotten thing to say about my baby, I know but thatīs the only way I can describe it. Well, lets see what the docs say. If I have to wait much longer for an app. Iīm going to go nuts.
