Default Sagittal Synostosis surgery on Tuesday

My son Mason was diagnosed with Sagittal synostosis about 3 weeks ago. He will be 7 months old next week and is going in to have surgery on Tuesday morning at Cornell. It has all been quite a lot to take in but also a relief to have it all happen so quickly. He is my first so you can imagine the fear and nerves the next 48 hours will bring. He is such a happy and strong guy I am sure he will pull through wonderfully. But there is always that little voice in my head worried about complications. I just pray that they give me the same happy little guy back. I am brand new to this so I'll check out the surgery board also but please let me know if anyone has suggestions on ways to calm these nerves of mine.

    Hi!!

Everything will work out fine on Tuesday!

Is Mason having a Posterior CVR?
That's what my son had done 3 weeks ago at 5 months old.

We did not wait long either, only 4 weeks between diagnosis and surgery date.

It is difficult to stay calm as a Mom, but I can tell you that it is amazing how quick these babies recover. Mason will be back to his old self before you know it.

    Keep us posted,

Feel free to send me a private message if you have any questions, specially since my baby is also Sagittal and had the surgery so recently.

    Hugs,
    Perla Liriano

Oh my gosh, that is alot to take in. My little guy was diagnosed at 8 months, but we're just getting ready for his surgery on April 7th.

My heart and thoughts go out to you. Good luck with everything and I hope your baby's recovery goes quickly and smoothly.
