Thread: recovery question?

  1. #1

    Default recovery question?

At home after surgery, what are they allowed to wear on their head to protect it from the sun? Are regular hats ok or bandanas? Has anyone been told what to use and what not to use???

Emily did not have any restrictions on what she could wear. The first week I didn't put anything on her head as I didn't want to irritate the stitches. I bought hats for post-op, but actually never ended up using them- with all her hair, the stitches really couldn't be seen.....

I would think hats or bandanas would be fine as long as they don't get stuck to the incision. Just watch that they are loose fitting in that area & all should be well...
