The weather was horrible today, snowy and slushy but we made it there and back. No EEG as there was no tech in today to do one (scheduling mixup I guess) But Noah had the CT scan. He didn't require any sedation as he was already sleeping and kept perfectly still for it. We were pretty much stunned when Dr. McNeely told us there is no craniosynistosis...all his sutures are open - no fusion anywhere! The ridges, well, they're just ridges. As for the soft spot he doesn't have one but the four sutures that come together at that point just create a perfect cross on top of his head with no big opening or hole. I saw the images myself or I wouldn't have believed him. He even showed us Noah's brain and its perfect, no white spots that would indicate tuberous sclerosis either. What a great christmas gift!
We still have to sort out the reflux and muscle tone issues but that is minor in comparison. While it is great that he has no cranio it leaves us puzzled by his tense muscles. A couple of his doc's were sure it was brought on by his cranio. But we'll get that all sorted out and it won't require major surgery.
Thanks so much everyone for all your support... it was a brief but scary journey for us and you helped alot. Now I feel like I can start thinking about Christmas.
Merry Christmas Everyone
