    Default Cannot believe this

I am so frustrated. I just received a call form our orthotic office, and we are going to be getting our third, yes, third helmet. Our NS is not happy with how it's fitting, and wants pressure in spots that can't be accomplished with the current helmet. This is totally rediculous. I can't help but blame the orthotists for screwing up a 2nd helmet, because they don't know how to make correct adjustments. We are trying to switch offices, and are looking into a potential law suit because of this rediculousness. They are so incompetent, I mean, this will be his third helmet!!!! Not because he's grown out of the others, but because they keep screwing them up! I want this helmet therapy to be over, I am so upset. I feel like he will never be done.

I wish you were closer ot MI! The orthotist we use is fabulous. He did Dillon's helmet as well as his braces for his feet. Does the company you are going with deal primarily in pediatrics? If not, see if you can switch to a company that does, or find a place that has at least one pediatric specialist on staff. Are they casting before they give you the helmets?

I am so sorry. I wish people could understand that we as parents are going through enough. I hope you find another office that will better work with you. You will be in our prayers.

How frustrating! I am so sorry that you are going thru all of this. I would look into a new orthotist, too. We're always here if you need to vent!
