Hi Janet. I have just read Fiona's story of her second surgery. It seems Fiona and your family have certainly been t.through a lot.. Here is to Fiona going to the other side... The second and last time!
so pleased its all over for you both hun, that tugged at the heart strings...well done you and a big hug to brave little fi xxxx
Thanks for sharing. It brought back many memories. I liked how they said to smell the bubble gum. Adam would love to "smell the bubble gum." I'm so glad Fi is doing better now. It's great that she'll get to go back to school early. It is going to break my heart if we have to do this again. I'm wondering if the CFS is going to want to do anything to Adam's forehead when he sees him in January. His metopic closed early, but his forehead was still pretty flat, so the ns didn't touch it. However, he does have indentions above the brows. I'll post a picture later.

Thank god you are on the other side of this, Janet.
Thank you for sharing your story! So glad y'all are home now and Fiona and doing well. Still saying prayers for a quick recovery!
While I am sorry for the angst and mixed emotions you have right now, I am so so so happy for you that you finally have a timeline and you can begin to plan. It will all be over in two short months. I hope it goes by quickly for you!
& a million times over. I hope your appointment on the 23rd will give you some of the peace you need. It's never easy to hand your little one over...even if you've already done it before. As you know, we are here for you. I'm sure Fi-bug will amaze you yet again.
I can understand how it is bittersweet. Could you ask Alan or Dr. Phillips to supply you with some research on the PEEK implants? I would think they would know of some or maybe even have done their own research.
Good Luck Janet, we're all here for you and we understand. You need to be with your family. We will all be thinking of you and Fiona!
I haven't been on here too much this summer, but had to pop in and tell you that your feelings are warranted and we all understand your need for a break. I'm always here for you.
I'm feeling a little better, I have up and down days. Writing is therapeutic for me. I'm trying to enjoy the summer because I know we are only a few weeks away from the fall.
Im right with you hun. Only this morning ive been counting the months till we see Joshuas surgeons. His hole is still as big, so i know what will be said when we see them in February! I had a break from here after Joshuas 2nd operation was cancelled, i had to try and put it all to the back of my mind, its only recently that i have come back on. you take care of yourself, you will be missed. Big hugs sweetie xxx
You take care of yourself and your family! You have to do what's best for you. Good Luck to Fiona!
Take care sweetie- You are so strong and such a great support to so many on here- we are here for you when you need us...Fi will do just fine- you will see!!
Janet, your absence will certainly be noticed. But you do need a break and we all understand. You have been a rock for so many, for so long here at CK...your 19K+ posts show that. You can't feel guilty about leaving (or being less active) for a while. But do promise to come to us when you are feeling weak...you need to let US be YOUR rock for a change. Much love, Jessica
