Aspen had surgery on Friday and is home and doing well. She was diagnosed with Sagittal Craniosynostosis in April, at just 2 months old. Because we caught it so early we were able to do the endoscopic surgery. I am not giving her much pain medication because she doesn't seem to be in pain, an also she gags every time I give it to her. Yesterday, we took our son Daniel for his one year post CVR control (it was actually 18 months since his operation). We were told by the neuro surgeon and plastic surgeon that everything was fine and they were really pleased wiht the results and how the reconstruction.... a big sigh of relief! We were also showed the MR scan pictures of Daniel before and a year after and the difference is fantastic. Daniel has one more check up at 2 years post op and then (hopefully) he will be discharged!
