Hi ive posted on the other boards. Im trying to figure out whats going on with my daughter. She has had a ct scan and they said her metatopic suture is closed and she has a closed anterior fontanelle. she is 5 months. her head is perfectly round and no ridges... so im wondering if she has a syndrome that could have caused this. anybody know anything about microcephaly or any other disorder that causes the anterior fontanelle to completely close??

We are going through the exact same thing. Although my daughters isn't completely closed. Has her head been growing? My daughter is almost 5 months and has had no head growth. Her head also has been growing into a point on top. We see the neurosurgeon on May 6th and I have e-mailed Dr. Fearon in Dallas about this. I'll let you know if we get answers before you do. Good luck!

Yes, that is what everyone has told me. They say he's good at diagnosing over e-mail and usually gets back pretty quickly. i e-mailed him monday so should hopefully hear back soon. I will definately let you know what he says. His email is cranio700@aol.com

I e-mailed that dr. he just sent me a message back saying as long as her head isnt forming a triangle on top then she prob wont require surgery. he didnt say much about the soft spot though. have you heard from him yet?

No, I haven't. That is concerning....maybe he thinks I have something to worry about and is looking further into it. I don't know.....our daughters head is forming a triangle on top and I sent him pictures of that along with her ct scan.

Just wanted to let you know that he emailed me back and said he doesn't think our little girl has any craniofacial issues.
