Hi -

I've been meaning to post these pictures for ages. My son Cullen was born with metopic in August of 2007, had the endoscopic procedure at 10 weeks at Children's Hospital in Boston, and wore a helmet for 6 months. I wanted to share these pictures with those of you trying to figure out what to do. As I said in a post long ago (search Cullen) don't be afraid of the endoscopic procedure! We were very happy with the results, but you should judge for yourself. As you'll see from the pictures, the first is a shot of his head before the procedure, the second is about a week after the procedure, the third is 6 months after the end of helmet therapy, and the last two (he's the lighter of the twins) are quite recent.

Good luck to everyone going through this. It's very difficult and scary, but you'll get through it - and the best part is that the kids don't remember a thing!

Best wishes,
Kathy

Thanks for sharing. Your sons are very cute! I love the superman picture!!! It looks like Cullen is doing great! I'm sure this will be very helpful for those preparing for surgery.

He looks great! What gorgeous boys!

Do you have any pictures of the top of his head? I'd be interested in seeing them. I really wish we had the endo proceedure option but it is still not available here.

Remember me? I tracked you down way back when I was researching surgery options and you were kind enough to share your experience with Dr. Proctor and Hanger Orthotics. Cullen looks great!...and both boys are adorable! We moved out of state but we'll be back in MA this Summer to visit family and have Abby's follow-ups at Children's. I hope to get to stop in and see Brian. There are some before and after shots of Abby along with some recent pics in my profile albums if you are interested.

It was so good to see your update...:hugg
