So, long story short, my husband came home from the orthotics office for Chase's initial fitting telling me that he ordered the white helmet instead of the blue one so I can decorate it "easier" - as luck would have it I wanted it blue, nothing a can of spraypaint couldn't fix! The stickers I picked up at AC Moore, and the palmprint on his forehead is indicative of what he does while falling asleep - he plants a big fat palm in the middle of his forehead :)
