Hey everyone, jsut got back from Sick Kids today, we actually had a great visit. her eyes have pretty much corrected themselves, she was near sighted in one and far int he other and had Stigmatisums (sp?) on both. he said her eyes have corrected themselves to the point that we don't even need to try and patch her, he wants to se eher again in 6 months and check, but he was really pleased with her.

Now the PS visit was different. He really tried to ease my worry about her. he said that she's not near where she should be for healing, he feels it should have filled in a lot more than what it has. he said he'd see us again in a year, but when he found out we were back in 6 months to see the eye Dr. he said he'd schedule her in too. He said we "might" schedule a CT for the future, but right now he wants me to let her be and continue to heal. There has been progress, since the surgery, but her soft spot is still large, about 3-4 inches by an inch. He said it should be about 50-60% healed, and she's not near that. So, it terrifies me. He said that it could take a few more years, we'll definately watch her, he'll continue his visits obviously, but if there's no progress in 6 months, we may do a CT to see what's going on it there.

He really was awesome, he's such a caring Dr., loves Holly!! LOL! She wore one of her fancy halloween outfits, bow and all, and look quite adorable if I do say so myself!! :rofl and the nice thing is he knows how worried I am and he really took the time to reassure me, that right ow, it's not a lost cause, there's not Definate that she'll need a repair, but that he'll watch her and do what's best for her.

I feel better of course, but I still can't shake the fear that we might need another. I can't feed her enough milk/yogourt etc. to try and get the calcium in there to make the bones grow LOL!! I hope it works out, I have my fingers crossed and pray she won't need one. I appreciate your thoughts too!

You got it......sending loads of happy thoughts and prayers your way for Holly! She is such a cutie! Hopefully in 6 months you will be amazed at her skull growth. Too bad we don't live closer. Holly and Sylvie could closet swap some.....we love clothes and bowbands!! LOL!

Great news on the eyes! I hope she will continue healing! I have been giving Will multi-vitamin with calcium in hopes that his gaps will continue to heal. He also is in a slower mode.
I think it is great you have such an awesome doctor too! Give it another 6 months, we will keep it in our prayers
