Update on Sylvie!

This has been a week of appointments for us. On Monday we saw the Cranial Facial Surgeon and he said Sylvie looks perfect. He did say that her plates and screws are still there. I guess we will not know the "real" her until they dissolve. Her head circumference is in the 90th percentile. HOORAY! I cannot even believe it. She has gained 10 lbs in one year. He wants to see her again in one year to reassess or sooner if we are concerned about anything. Her scar on the right is wide. He said we could do a cosmetic correction on the scar if we want later on. I think I will not. If she "needs" to have that done she can do it when she is older. It would be a cosmetic thing and she can decide later. On Thursday we saw the NS and he says Sylvie ought to be in a magazine. She is one of the best corrections he thinks he has ever seen. I was so overjoyed to hear that! He does not need to see her until she is 5 years old! HOORAY! Good reports! I cannot even believe that one year ago I was a complete nervous wreck. Sylvie continues to amaze me! Thanks again guys for all of your support and friendship. You really helped to see me through this.

Thanks guys! I'll try to post some updated pix here soon. It was funny....the PS said now which side did we correct? I laughed and reminded him. That made me feel so good.

that is so awesome to hear..I bet you wanted to jump up and down. I think I might have if they said that to me. She really is beautiful and looking at the picture above I would never guess she had anything done. She looks perfect!! God I hope we get that report some day!

How wonderful thats great that she is doing well, You know thats funny Matthew has a wider scar on the right side too it's a lot more noticeable then the other side.
