I cannot say thank you enough for your advice, prayers and positive thoughts! They praying worked because Dean's surgery went very well, and we got home tonight, he had the surgery Tuesday. He did very well, you all were right, he did way better than I ever would have!! He spent 1 night in the PICU, and then we were transferred to the surgical step down unit. All nurses, especially in the ICU were wonderful, and the doctors were great as well. This last month has been so emotional and has really put things in perspective for me. I am so glad that I found this site, and had you all to help answer my questions and help diminish my fears....now we get fitted for a helmet, and he should wear it for 3-4 months.......I will try to have my husband help me get some pics of him on the site soon....thanks!
