Saw Dr. Genecov today! Went SOOOO good! Jack is perfect! (I kinda knew that already!!)

Helmet comes off as soon as he outgrows it! Which is sooner than later because we already have blue plastic beginning to peek through the foam on the inside. His ortho told us at our last visit it MIGHT last through the end of the month.

I took in my before and after pics that I posted yesterday and Dr. Genecov was so impressed that he asked me to email them to him so that he could use them in his presentations!

Now if he can just learn to walk and become proficient in two to three weeks we'll be good! (ha)

YaaaaaHOOOOOO!!! Way to go Jackson!!!

I'm so happy to hear that the old helmet is hitting the road soon. Although, I'll admit, he was such a cutie in it that I'm sure it'll take some time until you're not looking at him and wondering if something is missing... Awesome news! And it's also awesome that Dr. G is wanting to use your pics to help other parents and Dr.'s!!

Sounds like you had a great afternoon...so happy for you Kerre!!!!

That is AWESOME news Kerre! Glad to hear that Jackson is doing so well. I could not believe how big he was at the Christmas party. We need to get together soon. Also cool that Dr. Genecov wants to use your pics.

It's hard not to take it off now knowing that it will be off in just a few weeks, but i want to make sure he gets as much use out of it as possible just to make his as strong and round as possible!

That's great news!!!! I know the feeling of wanting to take it off. We found out in November that this is Kaitlynn's last helmet, and we'll be wearing it until she out grows it. Unfourtunatly for us though, it will be probably another 3 months or so before we're out of this one! I have a hard time putting it back on her after her bath, because I want to just cuddle her sweet little head. Then I think to myself we didn't pay $3500. for a piece of plastic to not use it. SO usually I get it back on her!!!

One more Month!!

His ortho thinks that's how the long the helmet will last... unless we have a major growth spurt, which is always likely!

I was getting excited that we might be done this week, but I'm kinda glad that the same time that he has time to learn to get around a little better... I'm afraid though that we may have created a monster! that helmet makes him fearless!!

Wow, Kerre, that's so exciting!! Are you going to save the helmet when you're done with it?? Put it in his memory chest???

we bought a plush monkey that is about Jack's size and we are going to dress it in Jack's Halloween costume and put the helmet on him when Jack is done with it! So he can take Captian Huggy Face with him where ever he goes!
