Hi guys,
I just had a quick question but it's bothering me. How long did it take for your kids to completely recover from swelling. I still notice a lot of swelling around Lauren's eye. It still looks a little deformed when I look in the mirror with her and I'm soo nervous she'll need more surgery. I'm wondering if this is normal. It's only been a month but I'm not sure. Please help!!

When we took Zachary back to the doctors for his 3 month check up, they told us that there was probably still a little swelling. I would wait a while longer for the swelling to go do.

I remember Dillon's Dr. saying that it's not uncommon for some swelling to be present after several months. I know it's wrrysome though, I worried about Dillon's too. :hugg

I still think I see a bit of swelling on Emily (I hope it's swelling, we'll find out Friday!) I have the same worries....I know last time, when we went back for our 3 month appointment, they said there was still some swelling and it would hang on for a bit.......I'd say don't worry, but I know you will :giggle When is your next appointment?

Austin still had swelling 3-4 months after surgery. I thought maybe he was just filling out a little bit, but when I look at pictures from then, it was definately swelling.

Thank you guys soooo much!! Our next appt is Oct. 18th. The same day she has an eye dr. appt. She is definetly going to need another eye surgery. We are going to find out if it's one or both eyes. Will this ever end. But anyway, thanks again. I'm freaking out I know but I don't have it in me to go through this all over again so soon.

I have heard that residual swelling can last up to 6 months. We mostly noticed it after Simon had been lying on one side for a while. The fluid would pool on one side of his face and make him puffy.
