UGGGG! It's been over a week now and I still haven't got a date. (Yes, I'm an impatient person) If I don't here back in a few days, I believe I will go down to the office to make an appointment! It's driving me :crazy ! I just want to get things going!!!!

I wouldn't say that you are being impatient! Who the hell wants to wait that long to get a date? How hard can it be to determine what slots aren't filled? Hang in there, I'm sure you will hear something soon.

I remember that feeling. We waited 1 months and a half until we got our date from seeing the PS. Waiting is the worst part I would say. Hang in there!!!

I think the thing the might be frustrating me the most is that when I was in for the appointment, her assistant had the calendar out and said "So let's schedule it- when do you want to do it?" I chose not to do it at that time as Christian wasn't with me and I wanted to talk to him about it.....darn it!

I hope that you get a date soon. It would drive me crazy, too. They should be more considerate to how hard this is on you.

I didn't call yesterday. I plan on calling today and being a bit more 'aggressive' (which I kinda have a hard time doing as they are always so on top of things- makes me think something is up, but at the same time it's been over a week!)
Wish me luck!

Okay, so my husband (tougher than me) finally called back, got transferred to voicemail and called back again- said to the receptionist- I need to schedule and appointment, I don't need to leave another message. Is she in? Being confronted the receptionist said- well she is, but she can't make an appointment as they are moving offices this week and the computer is down and as they are moving phone lines, she can't access her voicemail. Call back on Thursday or Friday." Fine, no problem, only question is WHY THE HELL DIDN'T YOU JUST SAY THAT THE LAST TEN TIMES I CALLED?
I swear, the receptionist does not like confrontation (not that you should get it at a dr office, but I think she brings it on)- When I was in for Emily's routine post op appointment- I got there at 9:20, appointment at 9:30. I wait and wait. Another family comes in and Emily is playing with the little girl, so time slips by. The receptionist hasn't said a thing to us. I see the dad across the way and look at his clock- it say's 10:30!!! At this point, the NS assistant comes out and explains that there was an emergency in her surgery- she was supposed to be done by 9, but something happened and they had to call in a pediatric surgeon (as it wasn't anything w/ the head or spine at that point). SO, it should be soon, but will be a bit longer. I can understand that. If it were my child, I would expect her to stay with her while in surgery vs coming to do a post-op appointment. Again, no problem. I'm thinking, Why didn't the receptionist say something? Then I try to reason in my head, well, maybe she didn't know? But she heard the whole converstation that the assistant gave us. Within 10 mins, 3 more families arrive- not once did the receptionist say anything to either of them of the possible 2 hour delay???? I meant to say something to the NS (just to advise her receptionist that people would prefer to no ahead of time and not just sit there and get mad about it) but forgot.....ugg! All that said, I do love my NS, her assistant and the PS and wouldn't consider changing...though could live with the receptionist having a little common sense!

((((HUGS)))) Jennifer! You are more patient than I. I would have been angry with the lack of courtesy on the receptionist's part. I agree that there are unforeseen emergencies in the life of the surgeon and sometimes appointments are delayed or changed, but come on INFORM the patients! I pray you get your appointment soon! Bless your heart for being so patient.
