Results of Genetic Tests

We just got the results of genetic testing today and Callum has Meunke syndrome.

We left the appointment with stacks of info on Meunke syndrome. Just skimmed through it so far, but it seems it can be relatively mild.

All and all it is relatively good news and atleast we know with what we are dealing.

Thank you for the update! I know that finding out cranio is syndrome related can be tough news to swallow, but it is great that you all have a defenite answer as to which syndrome Callum has. How has the little guy been doing?

Katie,

Finding out about cranio was the hard pill to swallow. From our considerable research and discussions with those in the genetic field, some genetic defect causes cranio, being diagnosed with a syndrome just means it is known.

We actually would feel less comfortable if the tests all came back negative. We know what we are facing and it is relatively good. Only one in three experience mild developmental issues and for the most part intellect is normal.
