Too cute! Are those stickers or are they airbrushed on?

they are stickers... we're still debating about the paint. i have lots of artists in my family and his uncle david is itching to get his hands on it! i think i'm going to try and find a way to make my own stickers that way anyone can decorate it from time to time if they want to.

sooo cute! I love the idea of making your own stickers. If you figure it out, let us know.

I posted this in Gina's thread about Henry's helmet, but since you guys had asked about how's he doing, i added it here too!

yep! it's tough getting it on all alone! i sit crossed legged with Jack kinda wedged in there since he can't sit on his own... he wobbles all around and then I make him mad because i have to readjust it each time. we get a little better each day.

he took his first nap in his yesterday. it lasted all of about 10 min! today's naps haven't been much better... do any of you helmet moms have advice about the best way for him to sleep...(tummy, back, side, extra padding...??)

it's hard... but it's getting a little easier each day and he really doesn't seem to mind it too much... just a little cranky every once in a while with it, but not near as bad as i expected!

Do you have a bumbo seat? or maybe someone you know has one you can borrow? they are great for keeping little wiggly ones who can't sit up yet. It's great for keeping them still to take head progress pictures too. lol.

As far as the sleep...it gets better. We jumped right in with 23 hours on the first day so he slept in it right away (we weren't post surgical though so I know it is a bit different). He slept horribly the first night but by the second night it was pretty much back to normal. But he was a pretty lousy sleeper at that age so normal for us was probably not ideal for anyone! He always napped best in the wrap at that age, but at night we just lay him on his back as usual and he adjusted pretty quickly. He sleeps with me the second half of the night usually and it was harder for me to adjust than for him. I kept getting knocked in the chin with the hard plastic. It's annoying!

On the plagio list I was on lots of moms used memory foam mattresses pads in the crib to make it more comfortable and swore by them. I have no idea if they are considered SIDS safe however so I would proceed with caution.

Kerre, he's just as adorable as ever... Too bad I'm not 40 1/2 years younger... ; P

I LOVE THE HELMET!!! Good job. I agree with Tricia, I just LOVE the color. Did you guys get to pick it out? You're going to have fun decorating it, I know. So cool!!! Give him a snuggle from me and a high five from Ian... Thanks for sharing!!

WILD CHILD!!
my new favorite pic... http://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g305/stickboyandgirl/DSC01333.jpg (http://s59.photobucket.com/albums/g305/stickboyandgirl/?action=view&current=DSC01333.jpg)

Jack wore his helmet 8 hours yesterday and today he's on his second nap... that are thankfully lasting longer than 10 min each!! I've kept him in his diaper only today because it's so stinking hot and it was nice to be able to give him lots of tummy kisses! almost as good as head kisses!! I think we're gonna make it guys!

I love the helmet. My son Bryan has a helmet for protection and we want to decorate it for him. How would we go about it. Here is a picture of it. Any ideas.
