:nervous Okay September 18th is the big day Dr. Goodrich and Dr. Staffenburg are doing the surgery (neuro and plastic surgeon). He goes on the 1st of August to meet with both doctors for pre- consult with nervous mommy here, and september 5th is pre-testing. Oh boy I am getting that feeling please pray for me.

Thanks ladies, Matt is having a craniofacial reconstruction. They will re-incision the same scar and chip bone to cover the open space.

Matt, just went for his clearance check up and boy was he mad when they took the blood, and for now his temporary diagnosis is autistic traits until the neurodevelopmental testing is done in July he has 3 appointments for that.

Hey, they called me back about his blood so I just got back, they said he has severe anemia. If his levels don't come up he will need a transfusion. I have been battling anemia ever since his first surgery.ugggghhhhh! Well, my son Vinny has something called thalassemia trait it's kind of like sickle cell anemia, but he is just a carrier. Maybe Matt has that too, they'll be running more tests soon so we will see.

Ok got the iron meds but we are going ahead and doing the lab tests to find out about the thalassemia, because he has had iron problems for a long time.
Ok ladies I would like my vacation now.......lol! Just found out yesterday both uncles of mine that are left are dying of cancer so I have to make visits. We just lost my other uncle 2 years ago from cancer....cancer is really deep in my moms family everybody has had it. When it rains it pours!

My family will be praying for you. I now have that date in my head and will be sure to say an extra special prayer for your little one each day, as I always pray for the wonderful children. I am sure he will pull thru like a champ once again, but being a nervous mom myself, I know how hard it is to actually live through it. My son has not endured surgery yet, but I know the future holds some reconstruction I'm sure. In the meantime, I pray each day for all of these great kids!

Thanks everyone I have been sneaking the iron meds in Matts juice he noticed but does not mind as much, as opposed to drinking it straight:puke
It tastes and smells horrible, poor Matt Matt. My mom was taken to the hospital tonight I had to call he ambulance not much I can do she has not been caring for herself and I could not do it anymore she won't go to the doctor so now she is there and hopefully they find whats going on.

Update, Matt is still having problems he hates the iron but the meds I was on during pregnancy it's a long story they may have caused a lot of Matts problems I was overdosed on them by the doctor and just found out they treated me for something I did not have to begin with so I have an appointment with a lawyer on Wednsday. My mom was released and has to go to all these specialists they think she may have the cancer back! So I'll let you all know how it goes.

Mom is just extremely childish and now won't call and schedule her darn appointments, so I have to call for her. My Uncle Thomas was released from the hospital but he has congenital heart failure so he is very sick, he quit smoking thats a huge step! My other Uncle Ray is trying some new treatment for his cancer for the skin, hes been a surfer all his life....the best in Far Rockaway Queens! of course to me the best in the world. God heart disease, and cancer are huge for our family, and sensory impairments. Matt is doing a good job with the meds, I see the lawyer this week for our lawsuit...I'll let you all know how it goes.

Thanks, Matt had his first 2 neuro developmental appointments this week and they say there is a lot of issues. Low set ears, low reflexes, low muscle tone, low bone tone, and he has a lot of assymetry. His strength is not good and the speech is very delayed. He is referring Matthew to a neuromuscular specialist, because his legs turn in even when he sits. He has special things too like being double jointed. Monday we get a diagnosis (autism) but they want me to record the behavior because Matt does not show the bad behavior there, or the repetive gestures.

Wow! You and Matt have a lot going on. Do they have any treatments for the different 'issues'? Many, many :hugg 's to you. We're here to listen and offer word's of encouragment.

Well, they will help with behavioral therapy, speech, physical, and occupational therapy. As far as everything they are trying to figure out what is causing all of this and what it is related to, I have no idea where it is coming from but sure hope they can figure it out. My hubby has muscle weakness that just started effecting him now in adulthood, so it is very possibly genetic. He has muscular dystrophy in his family. A doctor a long time ago suggested that for my oldest son Vinny when he was a baby, so I am nervous and anxious to find out what it is.

When it rains it poors for sure. I'll be praying for you. Has Matthew seen a geneticist? Just curious.....My close friend's little boy was recently diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD). The genetecist is the one, after they had seen so many other physicians, that made the diagnosis.

Yeah they have mentioned seeing a geneticist soon It's getting my husband to go he is so prideful even with his health care....He was supposed to have an EMG and a biopsy on the muscles but he wont go. I hope he does for Matthew at least, I am sure he will. I feel like the glue of the family I keep everyone on their feet and going, holding everyone together!
