Eye Exam Monday!

Vance has to go in for an out patient surgery on Monday. He had an eye appointment last week and they are concerned because he is so sensitive to light. The Dr. did confirm that he has a wandering eye also. He was a glaucoma (sp?) suspect when he was born, but they ruled it out. Now they are saying he is back to being a suspect.:banghead :banghead He was pretty upset at the appointment last week,so they have to put him to sleep in the OR to get a good exam. He seems to think it is going to go one of two ways, either he has glaucoma, or the light sensitivity is being caused by the wandering eye and he will need glasses. I would much rather have him wear glasses! This wait is killing me, and I'm not sure that they will be able to do it Monday as we have all been sick! :puke We seem to keep passing it around!! Vance acts fine, but he has a cough and an ear infection. I have been giving him drops for his ears, but I don't know about the cough. It doesn't seem too bad, but I don't want them putting him to sleep if his chest is congested! He seems to be getting a little better each day, so hopefully it will clear up!! Unlike me, I haven't slept in 3 nights, I feel like someone is beating me with a bat! I have lost 5 lbs since I have been sick!:icon_mrgr Thanks for listening to me ramble! I hope it is the wandering eye causing the problem and glasses cna fix it! :pray Please let us know how it goes as soon as you can.
And try to get some sleep before your MIL gets there! Oh wait, maybe it will work o your advantage. She can watch the boys while you get some rest :yes :hugg

I hope everything goes okay w/ Vances eye appt.:pray God this time of year sucks w/ sickness... the weather is soooo weird!!:crazy Anyway, the MIL won't be there for too long, so take advantage and get some well deserved rest!!!(maybe even a dinner out w/ hubby!) :wink

Just got back from Vance's appointment and we got good news!!!!:woohoo No Glaucoma and he doesn't need glasses either!:dancingdu :elmo He has to go back on the 25th to check his strabismus(sp?). Thanks for your thoughts and prayers!!:hugg
