Did any of you worried that your babies might have a syndrome when they were diagnosed with craniosynostosis, or am I just over reacting?:crazy

My mom thinks I'm being silly and that I am pulling the whole situation out of proportion.

I think it's normal for most parents to worry about that. Heck, most doctors recommend seeing a ganetecist when cranio is involved, so it must be a justified concern :hugg

Yes, i think it is totally normal to be worrying. Charlie was born with several problems as well as his Cranio & i thought he must have a syndrome but he hasnt. x

I asked our p/s about that also....he told me that in Fiona's case there is no syndrome...he said if there was more sutures fused then they might do testing, or if my other child was born with it. He said that Fiona can have genetic testing done when she is older to see if she could pass it onto her children....I wonder the same thing because of my 2 familiy members being born with a cleft palate....even though it's not related...it's the way our "Mommy minds" work.

Yes, Its completely normal. I had to keep reassuring myself that Emma was developing normal. Everytime she made a funny noise or something I would think - uh oh, there is something wrong with her.

Yes- it is normal. I am constantly looking at Quintin's ears and eyes to see if they look "a little different"!!
You are normal!!

PS- welcome to Craniokids!
