Remind me next time to wait until right before the follow up appointments before I pick it up. I see things on there that worry me and then have to wait to find out what it means! Dillon's NS wrote on the script for the radiologist to compare this CT with the last one he had 8 months ago. Here's bit and pieces of the report:
Indication: Craniosynostosis
Impression: Overall no change in appearance of the skull since the prior study.
You'd think that was great, right? But then it says:
Findings: Again noted is left sided coronal synostosis with flattening of the calvarial vertex. (It also goes on to mention the defects [holes] in his skull, which "appear to be stable").
The thing is, I don't know how that was "again noted" when compared to the last CT, when that wasn't on the last CT. To me that sounds like fusion of the left coronal, unless I'm completely misunderstanding that. I sure wish we could get in to see the NS sooner than the 11th. Hopefully it isn't what it sounds like and everything is just fine. Regardless of what it means, I know Dillon will be just fine. It's just hard to think of him having to go through another surgery. We knew there would be another reconstruction down the road, but I had it in my head that we had a couple of more years before that happened. I'll post some of the CT shots in a minute...
