I am worrying myself about this syndrome as Laura's eyes are quite wide apart and I think she opens one eye slightly less wide than the other.
(See pics).
However she only has sagittal fusion.
Could she still have this syndrome? Does anyone whose child has it think her eyes look similar?

I am by no means an expert on any syndrome. But, I think she is beautiful! I don't think her eyes look wide...but is is so hard to tell just from photos! Have her tested...it is the only way to know for sure! Good luck!

Laura is a beautiful little girl!!! When Kendall was a newborn, we called her "winky" because she would squint one of her eyes. When I look at Laura, her eyes don't seem too far apart, but like Sadie said it can be hard to tell looking at the photos. Kendall is a sagittal baby too. :icon_mrgr

I agree with the other moms she is beautiful. And her eyes look fine. Sometimes they look wide because the bridge of babies nose is flat when they are small also sagittal babies sometimes seem to have a fuller face and get narrow in the back at least thats how my boys were. I dont think sagittal is usually a syndrome if ever. I am not a doctor but those our my opinions.

i think shes beautiful.. my daughter has wide spaced eyes, but she was bicoronal. i really dont see your daughter's eyes as too far apart. but it doesnt hurt to get a second opinion.

It is possible to have Saethre-Chotzen and only have 1 suture fused. Until my son, most of the cranio cases in my family have involved 1 coronal suture. We were tested for Saethre-Chotzen, but that came back negative. Still, the geneticist thought that the syndrome was a likelihood.

You can have Saethre Chotzen with no fused sutures. Clara has Saethre Chotzen with one coronal suture fused. I also tested positive for Saethre Chotzen and never had cranio. I have other features of of SCS though. There is wide variation in the severity of symptoms. As for her eyes, I think they look fine, don't think they look like Clara's or mine either. We both had ptosis, droopy eyelids, and your babys' eyes open nice and wide. Take care.
