Hi Libby is my 3rd little girl! She was born at 35weeks. Libby spent 7days in the NICU. It was a scary road for us because when she was born she was only breathing at 78% oxygen. She was born with hylenmembrane disease. Ever since November 20th 2006 when Libby came home she has been nothing but sick. She spent 8days in the hospital in February 2007 and was diagnosed with hyperphosphetemia rickets. In May she had gotten roseola! June she spent 2days in the hospital for a bladder infection, July she spent another 2days because her white cell count was really elevated. Still cant figure out why. Libby has been sick off and on with viruses of different sorts. Libby is almost 14months old and weighs in at 15pounds!! She is a little thing. We have been telling the doctors that something has been wrong with Libby ever since February. We noticed then that her skull wasnt quite right. It of course now has gotten worse. The NS said Libby is a moderate case. We see the genetic specialist on Feb. 7th. I hope that we can figure out little baby girl out! We will keep everyone posted. Right now Libby is sick AGAIN!! and we are going to the doc today!

Oh for heavens sake, thats all you need with surgery so soon, i hope she gets better quickly, Bradley is bad with his asthma at the minute, he was fine last week, but yet again hes woke up this morning with a fever, runny nose and a really bad cough, im really starting to panic, cause he has been like this for a while now, i suppose its just the season to pick up any types of bugs. Pockets mum (sam) said she was giving Patrick vitamin supplements, just to help make him a bit stronger, so i think ill do the same thing with Bradley.xx

Thats a really good idea. My husband is a nurse and he give our 4year old one vitamin C a day with her other multi-vitamin. She has asthma and allergies really bad and usually picks up the bugs too. Since we give her the extra vitamin C she seems to be doing alot better. Her doc also put her on zyrtec and singulair when she needs it.

I dont know what those last 2 drugs are, maybe they are inhalers i dont know, maybe different names to ours, but Bradleys on 2 inhalers and steroid tabs as well, i hope i can give vitamin supps to him, not too sure what age you can get them for, but as they say, every little helps.xx

Avary started at age 2. Zyrtec is an allergy drug. and Singulair is for allergy induced asthma. Avary hasnt been allergy tested but when the weather changes here she gets a snotty nose and cough. Now that she is on meds it has helped alot. You might want to ask the doc. Libby's doc didnt want her on a steroid because it can break down the immune system.

Ohh, i didnt realize that about the steroids, oh dear, im gonna phone docs tomorrow and see if thats something i should be worried about, with it only being 4wks to surgery i want his immune system to be as strong as it can be, thanks for that.xx
