View Full Version : Sleeping Positions with Helmet?

Our little guy has had the helmet for one week now, and absolutely cannot get comfortable to sleep! He's not sleeping at night for more than an hour or two, nor during the day for naps more than 10-15 minute increments. He was completely exhausted today - lethargic, staring off into space, completely hazed over exhausted. We're wondering if there's a better position we could put him in to get him more comfortable? Or any other tips for helping him get some desperately needed sleep?!?

We didn't end up doing it, but our orthotist told us that we could roll up a blanket and put in a 's' shape or kind like a horseshoe tucking the ends over the sides of the crib and lay his neck on that ( kind of like a pillow). I don't know if it works because we didn't do it, but maybe give it a try.
He will get used to it eventually, but there definitely is an adjustment period.
Good luck! I hope it gets better soon!
