So I sat down with 2 reporters from a local newspaper here in Colorado and went about 100 miles an hour telling them all about cranio (I mean I felt like an MD!), Brentley's story and Cranio Care Bears. They were here for 2 hours! =)
So I mentioned how so many of us cranio moms try to contact media about doing a story on cranio and the reporter said something very interesting. She said that they wouldn't have done a story just on craniosynostosis but because of what happened because of my son having cranio and doing Cranio Care Bears, they could run the story.
I just wanted everyone to know when they contact media to make sure it has a personal story or human interest. Even if its not just all education about cranio, at least maybe one mom will read a story and think..hmm? Could that be what my child has? So just thought I'd share that tip. If you've tried contacting the media in the past with no avail....try changing the story up a bit to put a personal twist on it. :heartbeat
