Beth got her
hearing aids yesterday (we had to swap her bone conductor) so now she
has the regular over the ear variety (now we just have to get her to
stop pulling them out!). Mark (hubby) just graduated from Uni today
and starts his new teaching position in the new year.

Betty transitioned from sitting to crawling today so now we just have
to work on getting her to get up to a sitting position from the
floor. Her tummy has finally settled down (allergy to dairy and soy-
it is surprising how much bread has soy flour in it!!)Kids are on
their summer break here so home for about 7 weeks. We are hoping Beth
will get her AFO's (ankle supports) next month. We are about to start
telly school for Beth in the new year with the Royal deaf and Blind
school-its interstate so it doesnt impact on any of her other
therapies (OT, Physio, Speech and early intervention playgroup)
hopefully it will be a positive step in helping her learn to
communicate. We are applying to our government for funding for a
supportive push chair for Beth -a kimba in line one so there is a
seat for Ethan -wont know until March if it is approved or not.

The new year will see us have another attempt at grommets and having
Beths cleft repaired, fingers are crossed her heart continues to stay
stable and her thyroid comes down on its own- its really high at the moment borderline has been for a while now. Her eyes appear to have
something called 4th nerve palsy a closer look will happen in January
to confirm or discount it.

Thankyou all for your support and helpful advice over the year have a
great holiday however you celebrate it.

Best wishes in the New Year to come!

Well done little Beth, it's lovely to hear she's crawling. Good news about her belly too, no more sore bums and countless amouts of Bepanthen!! Have a lovely Christmas holiday x

Our year hasnt ended yet the Gods conspired and figured my life isnt complex enough- Mark and I have been sooo careful but it looks as though one of those slippery little buggers found its way past our defenses . Started feeling funny and knew immediately -though I kept denying it and went through 4 positive pregnancy tests because I really was having a hard time believing it -but as the grandparents keep telling me it looks as if it is meant to be (they were over the moon as I delivered the news in tears). I love children I really do but having the twins just put a dampener on the idea of me having anymore of my own- Mark reckons he only has to look at me (he is stoked ) and honestly it looks as though its that way -I am definitely going to get fixed after this one though . It does help the recovery from the shock though to be surrounded by so many reassuring and positive people.

So now we have a due in August, and I am slowly coming around to the idea and accepting a full nights sleep is now only something I can dream about (sigh) I just hope I can live up to the challenge....I have so many little charges to worry about and Im only one person....
