I'm sorry you're having helmet troubles. Our helmet guy said that after 30 minutes with the helmet off, if there was still a bright red spot, then the helmet wasn't fitting properly. It would be worth it to have it checked out.

If the red is real dark and not a light pinkish color, it would probably be a good idea to get it adjusted again! Good luck.. I know its tough to keep it on when they get so fussy, but just remember the sooner there in it full time the quicker they will be out of it! I always have to remind myself, especially the first night he had to sleep with it! :sigh

the red line disappeared after 5 minutes, so i guess it's not a problem. yesterday he wear it for about 4 hours. it's a long way till 22 hours.
i didn't try sleeping with helmet, i'm trying tonight. but if, he wakes up and takes it off at night what can we do? he takes it off too easily.

You gotta just keep putting it back on. Over time he will get adjusted to it. It can take a few weeks of battling with him over it, but in the end you're the parent and will do what's best for him.
Sleeping with the helmet at night was hard for my daughter at first. I remember having 3 or 4 nights of her waking up every few hours uncomfortable. It's heavy so it made it difficult for her to roll over or even just toss her head back and forth. But once we got through the initial hump she was fine with it.
After about a month she had become so adjusted she actually asked to have her helmet on at bedtime. It was hard breaking her out of wanting it to go to sleep. Good luck and hang in there!

I'm so sorry this is a struggle for him. I agree with the others, you've just got to keep at it until he's used to it. Did your helmet person give you a schedule to use to get your son accustomed to the helmet? We had a schedule of hours on/ hours off until we worked our way up to 23, over the course of several days. Hopefully it will all work out soon!!
