Have any adults actually had their cranio treated?

Sorry, if that's a stupid question...

I'm just interested to know if any cranio adults that have been on here have had their problem resolved at all by a surgeon or whatever.

Also, another question, does being a cranio adult mean you'll face health risks like cranial pressure or anything like that?

Hi! I'm a sagittal mommy. I'm not sure if I welcomed you yet, so Welcome! First off, there are no stupid questions or pointless threads. We are here to help you and support you, so please don't feel afraid to ask. Second, unfortunately I don't know much about adults with cranio. My daughter is 10 months old. I believe Monty (is his name I think), is quite the expert and has done a lot of research on this. I'm sure he'll chime in once he sees this thread. I hope you find your answers. Good luck!

I remember 1 adult just cant think of his name, monty should know. He's had many surgerys as an adult if i remember correctly. And there is no stupid questions ;)

Welcome to CK. I don't know of any adults who have had surgery, but the surgeon we consulted did say he works on patients of all ages including adults. There are no stupid questions. :)

I'm certainly NOT quite the expert at all but I have some experience of how the system appears to work for an adult newly diagnosed, at least here in then uk.

I have had a small procedure where they drill a hole in ones head to plug in a monitoring device to assess intra cranial pressure. I have it. I will be having some surgery at some point, god knows when, I stopped anticipating emails and correspondence as it takes so long it's best to just get on with other things. very long process.

That might be me. I've had a couple of "cosmetic" surgeries as an adult. These weren't what (I guess) would be described as corrective - those I had as an infant.

Monty has been investigating more radical surgeries.

I went to a surgeon to ask if there could be anything done, operation, implants, filling materials.
Didnt get the answer i was looking for.
They dont seem willing to do surgery on adults.
Maybe fear of making mistakes? Anyway, I was out of there again, within 5minutes.

I bet it would be different if we all were a majority, but we are not.

Basically you need to be lucky to live in a country where surgeons exist, that are able to help you and are willing to help you.

Either that or you need to have the money to travel.
