So Autumn got her helmet today. And I hate putting it on and off cause she always cry's. And I know this will get better but I wish we didn't have to use this. Do any one you have any tips on putting on and off ? I'm alone with her all day and i am scared on doing this myself.

Poor thing, I don't have any advice for you but I'm sure it will get better as she adjusts. :(

It will get easier. You will both start to feel more comfortable with it. I'm sure you are being cautious and not wanting to hurt her. And shes thinking " I don't want this thing on my head". Are you suppose to gradually work your way up to 23 hours aday? What type of helmet is it?

That must be really hard because she hates it - that is what I was scared of. Gavin has been in his for about 4 days now and he really doesn't seem to mind it. I'm sure Autumn will get used to it soon. What type of helmet do you have. Ours has adjustable straps on the side. Our orthotist told us to make sure that the straps are open, stretch the sides and then put it on from front to back. I'm also worried that I am not putting it on right. I hope Autumn gets better with her helmet.

Ya we are working up to the 23 hours a day. Today we had it on for an hour and then off for one. So I think Monday will be the full 23 hours a day. She dosen't mind it on. It's just the taking off and on part she hates. I don't know what you would call the helmet but I kow it's closed on the top. and there is a strap on the back of it.
I know it will be better. Thank you for the tips.
By the way I think you kids are so cute. Very bight eyed little one's you have.

I worry about the same thing. I didn't put it on right the first time and she yelled. But today I think i'm getting the hang of it. And Autunm's helmet is judt like your son's. But her starp is on the back.
I love his helmet, the face he is making in the last pic is cute.
He look like he's alot of fun.
