Helmet question

Timothy's surgery will be this Tuesday (Sagittal Cranio). His Doctor says he wont need a helmet after surgery and that his head wont be round after the surgery but will round -up after awhile. He will be removing the fused bone plus the ones at the back of the head re-shaping them and then put them back with sutures that will overtime dissolve.

Any thoughts, will he really need a helmet or not, should his head be round after the surgery is done or will it as he says get back to a normal shape overtime? Thanks

Gavin just had his surgery for saggital on the 24th and the doctors don't think he will need a helmet but we will know for sure at our next appointment once the swelling has gone down. From my understanding, the need for a helmut really depends if the doctors can achieve the desired shape in surgery or if it needs further moulding with a helmet. Best of luck for the surgery on Tuesday.
