Geneticist Questions?

Hi all,
We are seeing the geneticist tomorrow and I was wondering if anyone had specific questions they thought were helpful to ask the geneticist. Our daughter does not have a specific syndrome (that we know about...that's why we are seeing the doctor).

I hope the appt went well. We have not had genetic testing.

We wen to the geneticist who was VERY vague and wouldn't directly answer any questions until he got the results of the blood work. The only thing he said was that he didn't see any obvious genetic syndrome but because she has multiple closures, he couldn't rule them out until the results were in. We are still waiting for the insurance to cover the tests and then we'll go in for a blood draw...more waiting but it seems like this is normal for cranios!

Yeah my son's plastic surgeon recommended him to go see a geneticist too. He's had other complications besides the cranio and it would just be a precaution. Craniosynostosis can be a genetic issue apparently so it is mainly protocol. If our insurance will cover it Jack will be getting genetic testing sometime in the near future.

Jacks momma: check to see if your plastic surgeons can do the blood draw during surgery... This is how our CFS does it to ensure that insurance will cover it as part of the hospital stay;)
