Gavin is out of Surgery

Gavin is out of surgery and everything went great! It was a long day - he was in surgery for 7 1/2 hours but the doctor said that everything went really well and that "it doesn't get better than this." He had no tears to the dura and minimal bleeding. The sense of relief I feel is incredible. He is in ICU tonight but will then be moved to the floor.

Big thanks t everybody for helping me get through this. I'll keep you updated.

Thanks everyody. The other side feels GREAT! Gavin did well in critical care overnight and was moved to his room this morning. He is really starting to swell and he is a bit grouchy but the doctors are really pleased with his progress.
