Hi Everyone,

Thanks to all the great advice and support from this site in guiding me through the process we have a endoscopic surgery set for November 11th with Jimenez and Barone in San Antonio. My son will be only 3 weeks old. I'm totally terrified but also excited for him at the same time.

Congrats Nancy-

I'm sure you are nervous but I think it's awesome that you got a date so quick- I had to wait over five months for my sons surgery and the waiting was grueling. Will your insurance will pay for helmet therapy? I hope you have that part all worked out...

Anyway, good luck and keep us posted!! Try not to worry as the kids all do really well with surgery, it's hardest on us parents!!

Thats amazing, they don't do endo in the UK so would have been waiting over a year by the time we get to Aaron having the op. I am very jealous in a way! It will be over before you know it. Hope everything goes well. I am sure he will amaze you with his strength.

Hi Nancy,

My daughter had surgery with Dr. Jimenez in January. She was bicoronal, but let me know if you have any questions about the surgery, recovery, or helmet therapy!

Nancy,
Remember that endoscopic surgery only corrects the fused suture, the cosmetic appearance is not altered at all and you must adhere to the recommendation of a helmet. You don't want to put your little one through this an not have the ultimate outcome. Best wishes :0)

Nancy, congrats on getting a date so soon. Sometimes the months of waiting can be torture, lol. I'll be keeping you and your little one in my prayers.
