Hi there,
I was so excited to find this website!!! I'm a proud mommy of four. Our youngest is David. We were his foster parents since he was 5 weeks old, and adopted him on August 2nd of this year. He has had one repair for his cranio, and will likely have to have another one soon. He is almost 19 months old.

He has the Metiopic Cranio. He looked so great initially after his repair, but now his old facial features are coming back. Also, his head is growing too quickly. We just had a CT done and will likely require another repair. It is such a disappointment!
Has anyone here been through second repair? Is it as worse as the first??

My daughter is metopic too...she's having her first surgery next month. I asked the plastic surgeon if she would require another surgery down the road....he said it's pretty rair but it does happen, he also said it's A LOT easier then the first one, not as much swelling. Good luck!!!!!!

Thanks! Elaine is my middle name as well! Though I didn't name her after myself, it is my Grandmother's middle name, which is why I have it! We almost gave her Elaine as a first name, and we'd call her Ellie or Lainey, but Kendall popped up and we just loved it. Elaine is not very common at all for a middle time, anyone who sees my middle initial asks if my middle name is Elizabeth! Well enough of my babbling, I should put myself to bed...sometime. :crazy
