My son Timothy <HR style="COLOR: #d1d1e1" SIZE=1><!-- / icon and title --><!-- message -->Hi everyone,

My name is Annie. My son Timothy who is now 2 1/2 months old was diagnosed with Sagittal Craniosynotosis when he was one month old. He was born on May 30th, 2007.

He will be doing surgery at the end of this month when he's 3 months. I have seen the surgery pictures online, and read the stories. I am so scared for my baby. Need the support and prayers of this support group.
Does anyone have a child who had this type of Cranio?
I also have a daughter, she is 4 1/2 no Cranio.

Thanks

Prayers and support are here for you! This is such a scary time, it helps to talk to people who have been through it or are going through it--- we really know how you feel. I have a coronal baby, so can't help w/ specifics on the saggital...but there are saggital moms in the group. Please feel free to ask all the questions you want. Also, please mark Timothy's surgery date on the calendar. We seem to have a lot of babies with surgery coming up these next few weeks.....it will help us remember. Welcome to the group!

Hi Annie, welcome to the site! I remember how scared I was during the time before surgery. My son Zachary had surgery for sagittal in August 2004 when he was 4 1/2 months old. He is now 3 years old and is doing great. I would love to answer any questions that you have and help you through this.

:colors This is a great place for you to be!! My daughter Kendall had surgery for Sagittal Cranio 3 weeks ago and she is doing AMAZINGLY well. I am so pleased, and she has really bounced back. These little ones are so resiliant and you will hear that time and time again from everyone. I really think that the bubs do better than the parents! Let me know if you have any questions or if you'd like to see any pics!

Welcome Annie. My grandson had surgery for sagittal cranio at 7 mo of age. He is one today! ..and he is doing wonderful. His daddy, my son, had the same surgery at 6 weeks of age. It is the most frightening thing I have ever endured, and still have moments. Someone wrote that the validation helps. I know this is what helped me. There is ALOT of POWER in the prayers and genuine love for the children and families here.

Hi Annie, my son Logan had saggital surgery 7 weeks ago now. It is a tough time, but the results are amazing - they are like new babies both inside and out! I have put some pics of Logan's before and after in the testing and surgery section. Everyone is fantastic here so don't be afraid to ask anything at all!

I feel so much better knowing that all this love and support is available for us Cranio Moms, Dads and Grandparents.
Wow it must have been hard to go through all of that. But through it all we know that God is able.

Thanks for the prayers and encouragement, as we continue to lift each other up. God Bless
