I've been checking out your site for quite some time now and I finally decided that it was time to introduce myself. My name is Mari and I'm from Seminole, FL. My son is five months old and just had his first CT Scan yesterday. I've been lurking on some cranio boards every since he was diagnosed with torticollis and plagiocephaly when he was two months old. I wouldn't have been so worried, but we have a family history of craniosynostosis. My sister was born with it and so were a few other members of my family, but the most recent was my nephew. You might know my sister as craniomomandbaby... or at least that's what I think her SN is. Her beautiful little boy is also my little monkey and going through the past couple of years with them has been a huge learning experience and has prepared me the best I could possibly be prepared if my son is diagnosed with cranio. We won't know until we meet with the craniofacial team at St. Joseph's on the 25th, so right now I'm in the waiting period. Thank you guys for all of the support you've given me without even knowing it so far! Thank God I have my sister to talk to about everything, but it is also nice to hear everyone elses stories.

Welcome Mari, I'm so glad you've come out of lurking! We love cindy here, she'a a valuable asset to our board :adore I don't know if it's the same there, but for Dillon's CT we were able to call the radiology department and request a copy of the scan and the radiology report 2 days after the scans. It helped give us some answers and preperation before Dillon's appointment. Since you're familiar with craniosynostosis and may understand some of the medical lingo on the report, that might help reduce the waiting period for you.
Once again, welcome, we're happy to meet you :hugg

Thank you all for the warm welcome! All your kids are soooo cute and I am so happy to have a group of people to talk to instead of always having to annoy my husband with my obsession. Don't get me wrong, he is very concerned with Ethan and was concerned with Simon as well, but my mommy brain doesn't turn off as easily as his does!

:crazy I can sooooo relate, and it was so hard until I found this group because hubby wasnt responding the way I needed him (you know to just listen and not be so practical) and our friends just didnt understand.

Racheal, I just checked out your website and that picture of Beth and Ethan is sooo adorable. Beth just looks so dainty and feminine next to Ethan! You have a beautiful family.
