I was doing a little research to find out exactly what DIllon's surgery may involve and found this article. It's long, but has a wealth of information on all types of craniosynostosis and various syndromes, and treatments. The only information I question on the article is the suture closure age. I thought the metopic begins to fuse around 2 and the lambdoids are last fusing in early adulthood. The article says they are all closed 6-8 years old. What have you all heard on that?

I think the metopic suture can close in the first few months of life and still be a normal closure as long as it doesn't cause the trig...

I'm gonna come back to this article in a bit and read it! Thanks Katie :)

Interesting... I have heard much later stats on suture closures and have even seen Ct images of an adult with some sutures still open...:dunno
